Project timeline
We are currently holding an initial, non-statutory public consultation, which runs until 24 October 2025.
Join us at one of our consultation events to find out more and provide your feedback. Consultation events are taking place at the following dates and times:
16th October, 11 – 2 pm, Aberafan Shopping Centre, Port Talbot SA13 1PB
23rd October, 3 – 7 pm, Margam Community Centre, 39 Bertha Road, West Glamorgan, Port Talbot, SA13 2AP
Following this, we will review all feedback received.
We’re keen to gather a wide range of responses to allow us to fully understand local needs, so we can shape the scheme accordingly. We are holding two stages of public consultation to ensure there are ample opportunities for the local community to provide their feedback.
In Spring 2026, we will hold a 28-day statutory Pre-Application Consultation, where draft application documents will be uploaded to this website for review.
Following this, a planning application will be submitted to Neath Port Talbot Council for its consideration.

The information you provide will be used by Turley Strategic Communications, on behalf of Qualitas Energy, for the purposes of keeping you informed and for understanding public opinion on the project.
